Hello there, I'm Noah
I'm a project manager. Parent. Expat living in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Several years back I moved here with my family; what started as a short-term assignment gradually became a whole new life chapter overseas.
How It Started
Moving to Netherlands wasn't part of the long-term plan. Like many expat relocations, it began as a job opportunity and quickly grew into something much larger.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, and rising expectations. Everyday tasks felt more intricate than they should have.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But gradually, routines settled in. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and started building something that felt stable.
Why I Built Ordima Velo Une
Most information online was either corporate-level relocation guidance or surface-level tourism material. What was missing was honest, day-to-day family perspective.
This site aims to close that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in Netherlands.
What This Website Does (And Doesn’t)
This site is:
- Hands-on experience from living in Netherlands
- Centered on family life and everyday realities
- Updated whenever a real change occurs
This site isn’t:
- An official tourism authority resource
- A paid-review platform
- A generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our time in Netherlands goes on, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll continue documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Amsterdam or anywhere in Netherlands, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Noah
